One per commitment in the Certified Calm standard. Answer honestly about what you actually saw, not what the show says about itself.

How often does the picture cut to a new shot, and does the volume ever jump?

Shots hold long enough to follow. Volume stays even, and there is real silence between the words. Mostly steady, with some louder or faster stretches. Rapid cuts, constant motion, or sudden loud noises used to grab attention.

2A human who is accountableCommitment 2

Can you find a named person behind it — a creator, a studio with people, an author of record?

Yes — named people, and they stand behind it publicly. A company name, but no person you can point to. Nothing but a channel. Endless, plotless episodes that nobody appears to be reading.

3Zero data on childrenCommitment 3

Does it ask for anything about your child — a name, an age, a profile, an account?

Nothing at all, or a parent-only account with no child profile. It asks for a child's name or age, and it keeps it. A child profile, personalised recommendations, or adverts aimed at children.

4Pedagogically honestCommitment 4

What does it claim it will do for your child?

Specific, modest, and true to the age it names. No promises about outcomes. Vague educational language — "learning", "development" — with nothing behind it. It says a screen will make a baby smarter, faster, or ahead.

5Parent-respectingCommitment 5

How does it treat you — the adult paying and deciding?

Easy to stop, easy to leave, honestly priced. It never trades on your guilt. Autoplay you have to hunt for, or nudges to keep watching. Fear-selling — your child will fall behind — or a subscription that is hard to cancel.

Three worked examples

These are the only three shows the standard itself names, and it names them as reference points rather than as reviews. Everything else on this page is your own judgement, not ours.

What this tool does not do

It collects nothing. There is no account, no cookie, no analytics on your answers, and nothing is sent anywhere — the scoring runs in your browser and disappears when you close the tab. It rates content, never children, which is commitment three of the standard doing its job on the standard's own tool.

It is also not a regulator's seal or a safety certification. It is a published promise with public receipts, applied by you. If a show clears all five, that is worth knowing. If it does not, you are still the person who decides.
